Attend our live events!

They are scheduled on Meetup

Order of Heavenly Kirtan Session

  1. check volume on phone
  2. Put phone on do not disturb
  3. load up PDF reader with lyrics
  4. Right at starting time, we chant OM 3 times if not many more.
  5. We continue with Prema Mudita and Adi Divya
  6. We choose whatever chants we are moved to chant for 30 minutes
  7. We conclude the practice as follows:

Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers

I started Kirtan at the Los Angeles Sivananda Center… I was just looking for a yoga studio that had a shower but since the class was free, I took it. Then there was something called “satsang” on Sunday that was free and had food, so I figured, why not. Then I heard some of the most beautiful singing I had ever heard… what?! This has something to do with spirituality? I was hooked.

In reflection, I actually had started Kirtan much earlier when I was involved with Yogi Bhajan and 3HO. They could really throw down at the Guru Ram Dass Ashram in Los Angeles.

This section also includes chants from Satyananda and other people who trained under Sivananda.
